Nepotism, Fight Club, and Playing Catch Up
Playing host to a Bunch of Lunatics winds up being pretty-much a full time gig (even with the lovely Alpha Unit doing all of the cooking); while I’ve been fairly active in other places, I haven’t been keeping up with telling you guys about it. So right off the bat, a couple of linkages:
Danny de Gracia and I had a telephone interview about Internet trolls, and how new-media (blogging, wikipedia) is changing the face of news and information. Check out the transcript here, with a link to the audio.
Captain Capitalism and I had a long conversation about the Decline, the nature of the Right Wing Man, his hatred of delicious Wisers’ Whiskey, and many other things. Listen to it over here (and don’t miss his latest article on the disgusting leftist mind).
Now onto the main show.
The following two videos are tangentially related – the first was an opportunely timed request, which helps elucidate the topic in the second. But it’s the second that matters.
What is the solution to these modern horrors? The solution is to do exactly what the bunch of us were doing last week: move things into meat space – start up a local chapter of Fight Club! Find a group of intelligent people, young men of grit and character to ally with, and create the same sort of loose-network that the Left is so good at forming.

I liked the audio with Captain a lot… I didn’t believe you can get something like that on the other side of the ocean. And may I recommend Whiskey, try Ardbeg.
Seen a meme/banner floating around: “Social media will kill the revolution”. I’m certain it’s mainly directed at Occupyists, but it’s pretty universal. Clicking ‘Like’ buttons and signing online petitions gives the impression of action while accomplishing nothing. Meatspace is ultimately what matters.
Sent a FB request, much as I go out of my way to avoid that site. I miss the hours-long free-wheeling bull sessions I had in university, maybe I can relive some of that, if nothing else. And it’s always good to have some extra bodies to move a body.
