Three Observations on Hillary’s DNC Acceptance Speech
I just got finished listening to Hillary’s speech, and my observations can be boiled down to three points:
- She started off with rhetoric, which was nothing more than the rhetoric that Donald Trump chose not to employ. EG: Trump could have easily employed E Pluribus Unum alongside his slogan of “Make America Great Again” – but he chose not to. It was a compilation of leftovers.
- She couldn’t stop bashing Donald Trump. “Vote for me, because he’s so eeeeevil!” Rather than presenting a positive plan for the future of America, she threatened people with the bugbear of Cheeto Hitler. Trump mentioned Hillary once during his speech – to invert her self-serving slogan – she based significant portions of her speech off of “Donald Trump is bad, m’kay?”
- She promised lots of gimmedats. They all sounded great, quite frankly. Living wage! Entrepreneurship! Pro police! Pro racial justice! Pro security! Pro open borders! I just have one question – how is it that women working at Walmart – whom will be earning a living wage, under her administration – will then be able to pay nannies (presumably from Mexico) an equally living, living wage?
None of these criticisms will do anything to dissuade her supporters, of course. They hear what they want to hear. They’re terrified of masculinity, and they’ll believe any promise of unlimited resources that comes along. But the good news is that she doesn’t have a narrative that can capture anyone who isn’t already a broken person.
No matter what happens though, the GLBT are laughing; both candidates support that group. Also, women only earn 70 cents on the dollar. That, my brothers, is an indisputable fact.
“She couldn’t stop bashing Donald Trump.”
A lot of these progressive types give themselves away by doing that and nothing but. They have few ideas beyond handouts of some variety versus encouragement of things that will help the working class achieve what they want.
If the masses want dependence, they’ll get it, but at what cost?
That face is a memory imprint of every time Bill has fucked her in the ass.
Don’t forget all the things she’s been doing her whole life for America’s women and children.
Didn’t Ivanka Trump say her father was going get equal pay for women because that’s what he did at the family’s casinos and their other “businesses” — Trump wines, steaks, and water?
Yo, dude. What do you think? http://monthlyreview.org/2009/05/01/why-socialism/ Could you write an essay about this? Thanks bro.
