The Amazing Atheist is a Patriot, Apparently
Progressives are sore losers, who hate being forced to deal with reality. As such, there’s been a great deal of caterwauling since November 8th about reforming the Electoral College, due to the claim that President Elect Trump failed to win the popular vote by a margin of 600,000 people. Of course, this completely ignores the fact that this number was based upon early estimates, it fails to account for the 3 million illegals who voted in the election, it doesn’t consider the systemic voting fraud which has been plaguing the nation for decades, or the fact that under a direct ballot the candidates would have shifted their campaign tactics – it’s simply a limb for the Left to grasp onto as a rationalization for why their rabble rousing is justified.
The Amazing Atheist has taken a different tact from the rioting hordes, however, and proposes that the left work with the future President to reform the system. Hell’s Unicorn refutes TJ’s arguments at length¹, but there was one particular statement which stood out to me:
Let’s not attack president trump, let’s petition him to lead the charge! Sure, he probably lost the popular vote, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be instrumental in changing the system, that he can’t be an advocate of change, an instrument of change. The man is our president! And I think we’ll get a lot further by treating him like the leader we have expectations of, rather than just trying to tear him down…
I could help thinking of Samuel Johnson’s famous quote, that “Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel.” Had the Left won this election, they would have eagerly upped their program of mass-censorship, they would have worked tirelessly to undermine red states through refugees and mass-immigration, and ensured that early indoctrination into aberrant sexuality was doubled down upon. Essentially, they would have kept doing everything they’ve been doing, only more so, with the goal of replacing the native population, as well as destroying the social fabric, which not only empowers the individual, but also serves as a bulwark against creeping globalism. They would have gleefully seen all of us in jail for hate speech, or worse.
With Trump’s victory, however, they suddenly want to cooperate. They want to work together in the spirit of civic nationalism, and they call upon Trump to… destroy the very structure that allowed him to win.
For the sake of patriotism.
“You won because you’re stronger than us, and that means you should do whatever we say, to show how magnanimous you are!”
The actual proposal is profoundly idiotic – only a mind lost to modernity would imagine that you can change the system while keeping all other variables the same – but it shows the character of the people we’re dealing with. The Leftist views a peace treaty as an opportunity to prepare for the next war. Progressives never stop progressing, after all, no matter how many times their schemes fail, no matter how many times their ivory tower theories are implemented, and oceans of blood are the result. They won’t stop pushing their destructive ideas, and they cannot be trusted to parlay in good faith.
The Leftist is parasitical to civilization. He creates nothing, merely subsisting off of the wealth generated by others. There is no negotiation to be had; he wants your life blood, and in return he offers disease. Cut him off, however, and his colony withers. Deny him access to your children, and his ideology dies. Defund his grant money, and he winds up homeless.
Do not negotiate with the man who has no honour; do not protect him from the consequences of his sloth; allow him to meet his inevitable fate on his own terms.

1. When you get right down to it, TJ is just trying to sound unique and insightful; he’s a special snowflake who’s too good to go along with the crowd, even when the crowd is full of his fellow rebels. He’s rebelling for the sake of rebelling, because intellectual posturing is the only way his vacuous, atheist soul can feel significant.

Whenever traditionalists are magnanimous toward their foes, that magnanimity will invariably be turned against the Rightists. The true political conflict is not the election – the real combat takes place after the votes are counted. Trump supporters need to demonstrate their greatest courage in resisting the Leftist demands to “come together.” Unifying the country amounts to giving-up Trump’s victory.
